Many people find Networking daunting but please don’t under value, setting aside some time in your monthly calendar to network with new and existing contacts. It opens up a whole world of possibilities for you and your company & its great fun !

I’ve picked 4 Main Benefits, to give you an idea of the true ‘Power of Business Networking’

NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES- Generally most people who join a Network meeting are looking for prospective customers. Its a great way of meeting like minded people with a common cause. Your business growth is dependant on developing relationships and making connections, Don’t be afraid, remember these people are like you and want to make connections too. Networking is also brilliant way of increasing your confidence, a very important attribute to have especially has a business owner.

LEARN NEW INFORMATION-Your networking aim doesn’t always have to be one of making money or gaining business cards.Sometimes coming away with information and resources can be the most valuable outcome.  Networking can open your eyes to new possibilities and ideas. It can also help you to obtain advice on a specific topic, to share vital information or to learn about new skills that you could benefit from.

HELPING OTHERS TO SUCCEED- Networking gives you an opportunity not only to learn new things but also to dish out advice and information yourself. Everyone feels satisfied when they help someone with something and networking is no different.  Use the opportunity to share what you know and help a fellow business person.  They’ll then possibly want to return the favour for you in the future and, before you know it, a valuable connection has been made. Within your networking group, you will take nuggets of information from all you peers and also you will be able to help them too at some point.

RAISE YOUR PROFILE  - Good networking allows you to be seen, be heard and be remembered by people and gives you the chance to promote yourself as well as your company image.

If you use the networking event to make a good impression then people will want to do business with you and will want to re-approach you for advice or information in the future. It will also make your company appear as knowledgeable & genuine– which can only be good for business.

These are just a handful of benefits that you and your business will obtain from networking, and it’s likely that you’ll discover many more.

Networking  can be in large groups at organised events, smaller groups or online via social media, if you work hard and embrace the opportunities then your business will certainly succeed.

Networking, has been extremely beneficial to my business & I am very grateful for all the lovely friendships and clients I have made along the way.

Anyone can make one:
For better or worse, anyone can write a blog post about anything they want. Everyone has a voice and the best voices will rise to the top.

The writer can show their personality:
In blog posts, the writer has more leeway to add in their voice and personality than other types of writing.

Blogs are a great form of mass communication:
You can help people, learn new things, entertain your audience— the possibilities are endless and amazing. Blogging opens up all of these to a very wide audience.

You can make money:

Get the right blog going and you can make a lot of money through advertising and sponsored posts.

It allows people to craft better thoughts:
Instead of reading haphazard, uneducated Facebook statuses, it’s much better to see people’s thought process in a well-written blog post.

You can establish a community:
Blogging allows you to connect with other individuals who share the same interests. Sharing ideas and opinions within your community helps establish yourself as a thought leader.

Good for SEO:
Keeping content on your site fresh and relevant, you can use your blog to boost the search engine ranking (SEO) of your site and your business.

It brings people back to your site:

If your blog is strong enough and updated regularly, people will come back looking for more and bring traffic back to your site as well.

It’s free:
It costs you a grand total of zero dollars to post to the blog, so if you have something to say, there’s nothing to stop you.

You can establish yourself as a thought leader:

A blog is a great place for your original thoughts, and it can be a wonderful way to show off your individuality. If people like your ideas, you can become a thought leader in your industry!

What else do you love about blogs? Let me know!
