My name is James Murray and have been working within the insurance industry since 1981 and moved to Alan & Thomas in their Dorchester office in 2014.

Alan & Thomas are a general insurance broker dealing with all types of personal and business insurance via their 4 offices and employ nearly 100 staff and recently we became part of the GRP Group elevating us to form part of one of the top 3 independent insurance brokers in the UK, with in excess of 300,000 clients, 1,300 staff and premium income of over £700m, with offices spread across the UK.

We pride ourselves on providing bespoke insurance solutions to all of our clients, ensuring that the policies we place for them are specific to their own requirements and at a competitive price.

Personally I enjoy face to face contact with my clients, getting to understand their requirements, insurance needs and putting together a policy portfolio to protect the business, its staff and owners. My plan is to become the insurance department for my clients leaving them to deal with running their business knowing that insurance is no longer a worry for them and that any questions raised by them or their clients will be answered by us speedily.
